OUR STORY
California Fashion Week is a female-founded platform redefining the West Coast runway experience. Founded by Mia Laren, owner of Curvora, and Yvon Nguyen, owner of USA Model Company, it brings together fashion, lifestyle, and innovation to create lasting impact within the industry.
More than a runway, it is a curated experience where luxury, wellness, and fashion converge, designed to empower those within it, from designers and models to a select audience of sponsors and guests.
Rooted in California culture and contemporary style, each experience is intentionally produced to reflect modern luxury, presence, and connection. California Fashion Week attracts a refined audience seeking more than a show, but a moment to be part of.
A new era of fashion begins on the West Coast.

MEET YVON NGUYEN
Co-Founder | 2025–2026
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Yvon Nguyen always dreamed of becoming a model and building a life in California, even when circumstances made that dream feel out of reach. After losing her mother to lung cancer in 2013 and her father to leukemia in 2015, Yvon entered foster care and relocated to Orange County, California in 2016 where she began pursuing modeling with purpose and resilience. Over the past eight years, she has walked in Los Angeles, New York, and San Diego Fashion Weeks, worked across San Francisco, New York, Florida, Hawaii, and Mexico, and been published in multiple magazines for designers nationwide.
Through firsthand experience, Yvon witnessed both the opportunities and challenges within the modeling industry, inspiring her to create meaningful change. At just 18 years old, she founded USA Model Company in 2022 to provide education, networking, and opportunity without financial burden, gatekeeping, or unsafe practices within the industry. USA Model Company is America’s first model club. She is continuing her mission to cultivate an inclusive, empowering community dedicated to supporting and uplifting models at every stage of their careers through California Fashion Week
